Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by President Sam Posner.

Approval of Meeting Minutes: Sam Posner motioned to approve the December, January, and February meeting minutes, which were seconded by M. Koffi and subsequently approved.  They directed attendees to the school website for access to the minutes.

President's Report: Sam Posner presented his report, highlighting a photo album and videos from the Black History Celebration Assembly shared on Class Dojo. He also announced the distribution of class photos, with one fourth-grade class's photos still pending.  A discussion ensued about photos for children absent on picture day.

Principal’s Report: The principal was absent from the meeting.

Treasurer's Report: Michelle Choi presented the treasurer's report, detailing fundraising totals from the bake sale ($5,641.14), penny challenge ($1,477.73), and pictures ($900), resulting in a total balance of $15,689.25. She noted the upcoming popcorn sale as a significant fundraising opportunity.

School Leadership Team Report and NYC School Survey: Sam Posner highlighted the importance of completing the 2025 NYC School Survey, emphasizing its impact on school feedback and parent engagement metrics. He provided instructions for completing the survey online or via a paper form.

Community Education Council (CEC) Elections: Sam Posner informed attendees about the upcoming CEC elections and encouraged participation using an NYC Schools account (NYCSA). He offered assistance from Ms. Jones for those needing help with account setup or voting.

Cool Culture Pass Update: Sam Posner updated the group on the fundraising efforts for the Cool Culture Pass, a program offering free museum access for early childhood grades. He announced that due to application deadlines, the program would be pursued for the 2025-26 school year.  Sherry Estabrook asked for clarification on the Cool Culture Pass, and Sam Posner explained its benefits and purpose.

Popcorn Sale and Fundraising Allocation: Sam Posner presented a video and information sheet detailing the upcoming popcorn sale, emphasizing its ease of use and virtual nature. Stephanie Sandeus shared her positive experience with the fundraiser, and Michelle Choi suggested utilizing a separate donation platform (Give Lively) for those who wished to donate without purchasing popcorn. Sam Posner agreed and noted the importance of making this option clear to participants. They addressed Sherry Estabrook's question about providing the donation link in the WhatsApp group and on the school website.  Michelle Choi highlighted the inclusivity of this fundraising approach, considering the school's Title 1 status.
